rjsmeyer,
What are your ideas on this thought.
I am looking to be able to offer these discounts:
6% OFF (covers tax in VA)
10% OFF (military discount)
15% OFF
20% OFF
25% OFF
30% OFF (Employee Discount)
So what if I made a Customer named TAX FREE and the discount level was 6% OFF. So for a tax free sale they would select that customer. Although in the future when I am actually using REAL customer accounts I think this could be conflicting in trying to select a real customer but give them a tax free discount.
I don't want to actually use the TAX FREE icon because the sale really isn't tax free, which skews my reports. I still have to pay their tax for them. It's really just a 6% discount.
Ideas?
EDIT:
Also, once that's set up, all that needs to be done is to set the Price Level in Customer Info. You enter it once, and it stays there until you change it. For people like veterans, for instance, it works great.
We use those discount buttons only for one-time discounts, e.g., when a customer has been negotiating a lower price.
So rjsmeyer, going back and looking at your post what happens if you have an actual customer saved in your database (ie: Timmy Thompson) and Timmy is a vert so you offer him a saved 10% discount you have pre-set at one of the levels. However good ole Timmy found a competitors coupon and wants 20% off what he is buying today ... not 10% like usual. I take it is not possible to log the sale under the actual customer in the POS "Timmy Thompson" and also use a vauge customer discount saved under customers ... like "Veteran" correct?
