kitchen printer options
« on: August 04, 2014, 05:43:34 PM »
Have a request from new chef who wants to have the following information printed on a receipt printer in the kitchen: (note: we
installed the printer and tested it already, but aren't sure how to get the following data formatted properly [if possible] ).

[Course number]
  [item description] [table position]
  - [modifiers]

for example:

- Course 1-
Beef Salad  1
Caesar Salad 2
Soup 3
- Course 2-
Hanger Stead 1
- medium
Salmon 2
- no onions
Pork Chop 3

help on this issue much appreciated!

You'll need to learn the Kitchen Notes, Quick Notes (sales screen, toolbox / Quick Notes icon), Modifiers and Add-ons.  The Quick notes can be used by any item for things like "No Onions".  The modifiers can be assigned to products and prompt the cashier to make selections.  The Add-ons are the most powerful and can be used in many ways.  For example, select pizza toppings or select side dish options.  The course separators are not provided for.  There are other options in the Settings / Printer Options.

Thanks for the information.  I'll take a look at that.
