problems with pole display

hi ,got a slight problem at the moment  ,got a digi pos pole display attached to computer ,cant seem to get it to work with the software ,receipts print fine but dont show up anything on the pole display other than when you switch the pole display on  having its boot up software on ,thxs

The pole display must use a serial port.  And emulate an Epson or Logic Control.

it is connected via a serial port but doesnt seem to show up ,it does light up the boot up software but nothing else
