Is there any mechanism in the pos that can push sales transactions to external resources as they happen?  Preferably, I would like to drop every transaction header and details to the file system as they happen, but beggars can't be choosers.

What I would like to do is have a automated real time movement of my sales data to another repository for analysis purposes.

Any help or ideas is appreciated.

It can email the sales receipt automatically or you can manually export the sales to a text file but not really what you want.

Actually, the email is an option I can work with.

Can I ask some follow up questions ...
Can it be set up to email every transaction?
Is the receipt a complete transaction?
Is the receipt an attachment, or part of the email body?
If attachment, is it a multi-part?
Is there doc for this?

I can setup an email listener that can parse the message and attachments.  If the email contains all the relevant transaction info, then this is a viable option.

Sorry for all the questions, but I appreciate the help.

Don't bother answering the above.  I saw another post with the info.  I will give it a try and get back to you if I have issues.

Turn this option on in the Settings / General, "Email Receipt Automatically".
