What can I do to improve speed...

Hi, we are using V.13.581 network version and have 5 systems and 1 server and occasionally a laptop.  What can I do to improve speed. It happens sometimes during sales and even worse when spooling reports.  Each pc is quite fast outside POS.  These PCs are spread over 3 floors on a wireless network. What can I do to improve speed so it is no longer slow? Thanks...

We always find Wired networks are faster than wireless.

I can sure attest to that!  I started out with a wireless network on a previous POS system, and was finally persuaded to hardwire it.  It made all the difference!

Would it make a difference if I wire the server to the wireless router and all others remain wireless...
