what is the best way for us to redeem a gift card sale that we have to activate from the gredic card terminal that isnt linked with this pos system when we finish the sale and click gift card it asks for a number and then wont accept it and then we have to run it as cash then it messes up the report any suggestions

A gift card must be sold through the software before it can be used.

From the Demo?  How can that come from the demo?  You can zero a gift card's balance but not remove it's history.

I'm not sure what you are asking.  Have you read the help document?  It may answer your questions.  You create a gift card product and then sell it.
