Will editing Item Number effect the sales report?

For example :- I already sold product B with Item # A123 last week. If I change the Item #A123 to B248 but barcode maintain the same, will the sales report of this month will it be affected?

It won't change the sales report.  But don't remove products from the database even if it's not beeing sold anymore.  Check the "Discontinued" option.  If you delete the item it will not show up in some of the products sold reports.
