Use the Settings / General and uncheck the "Don't Maximize Window".  The window bar can not be removed.

You can already do these by:

1 - Setting "Requires Customer" in the Settings / Payment Methods window.
2 - Open the Customer / Customer Control window and use the Tools / Define Fields.

The Finish button should be used to close a sale and set the payment method.  If a sale is not closed it will not show up in a sales report.  Remember that sales and payments are different.  Some reports look at sales and some at payment.  What is your business name?  An update was send in late Jan to fix some bugs.  It seems hardly anybody installed it.  I will resend it to you.

That sounds right.  The Qty button probably just adds 1 to all the parts.  What happens if you click on the product button a second time instead of the Qty button?  The version you are using is about 3 years old.

Which computer is the server?  I find XP is the easiest to set up as the server.  Windows 7 is not to hard to configure as the server.

Not completely.  If you are knowledgeable about how Windows 7 redirects program files you can get everything to work.  Version 12 was made mostly to comply with Windows 7.  It's also a little tricky to share files with 7 and XP.

It was designed to be used like Subway's program.  Buy 10 sandwiches and get 1 free.  You can do close to what you want by rounding off to some amount $5=1 pt, $10=2 pts.  This works for large items best and not on a purchase of 25 items for 0.13 cents.  I think your best bet is use the function as it was intended only.  It just won't work well if you sell a lot of items under a dollar.

ezPower / Re: Waiting for Server Reply Message

You get that message when the server is not replying to the register.  Is the server POS running?  Has there been any changes, like a firewall/virus update?  That can slow things down a lot.  Make sure any virus programs have the POS.exe listed as having full access.

No, the whole payment window is by-passed by the Quick Terms.

Why didn't you run the update?  Always run the updates.  Our system sent everone an update.

OK, after reading your post 10 times I finally noticed you are using something different, "Quick Terms".  This is an option that can be set in a customers record.  It will by-pass the payment window and directly set a sale to Terms.  Using Quick Terms means you can not use store credit or any other payment option.  Sorry I didn't catch that from the beginning.

Did you run the version 13 update sent out in Jan 2011?  As far as I know there are no issues with stock.  This does sound like one of the problems that was fixed.  Where it was possible a sale (tab) was lost.  Rare but once in a while it could happen.

Try doing it in the Free demo.  Use the Sales Control / File / Sales Export.

Version 9 does not have the save option.  I did not receive the email.  It cost $79.99 to Update to Current Version http://www.denverresearch.com/software/prices.shtml
All the product information can be exported/imported.  But the sales and setting do not transfer from v9.  In version 13 you can use the Add-on Save and Load from within each product.

ezPower / Re: Discount as a percentage %
« on: February 23, 2011, 07:09:54 AM »
Not with Modifiers.  They do not give discounts.  But you can discount by % using Discount button.  This will discount the whole sale by a percentage.  Or, you can create a 'Coupon' product to discount a sale by a specified % or amount.
