In specific, the Report "Category: Summary Chart"

The report and the the chart provided shows equal distribution across all categories. Example: In reports for the last 7 days of sales, we see that more than half of our total sales were for  the category of cigars. But the report and the chart show it as on 7~8% and shows sales for almost all other categories at the same percentage. The pie chart reflects this, as all sections are roughly equal.

In the Loyalty points systems then?

So points would be 1 for every dollar sold, 1 dollar credit for every 10 points, redeem on every sale. The rate would be .1 if the points for each item are equal to their dollar amount? And that simply takes store credit off the entire sale?

Which would work, and be easier to explain.

I am having trouble wrapping my head around this, so I do not know if it is possible.

We want to give customers a discount for a particular category of items based on the sales of another category (or menu) of items.

Base example: $1 discount for category B for every $10.00 of sales in category B (or menu A, as there are multiple categories involved.)

We want to give our customers a dollar off their cigar sales for every ten dollars they buy in booze.

If I have to re-order my menu/category system for the booze, I can make that work.

Or could it be done in the points system?

Is there an upper limit to the number of items codes you can have active, or is it possible that the database can become locked?

I have a few new items that I have tried to add to the database a couple of times, and the items will not stick in the system. When I go to scan them of simply go to look them up, they are just not there. The problem starts at item code #5470. That number and five others just disappear.

It would be really helpful if the "Out of Stock Warning" popup would include the item Code# in the window. Trying to get workers to remember which item threw the message would be easier if they could just write the code down when it pops.

How do I stop a register from printing Product Sales Labels? Our label printer is attached to Register 1, but sales from Register 2 keep printing sales labels. The only way I have found to stop it is to pause the printer and then clear it out and restart it if I need to print labels.

ezPower / New version - unexpected behavior

We updated to the new version that was sent to us last week, and I am seeing a couple of things that I cannot fix.

1 - I have a sale that is locked open on register 8. But I do not have a register 8, I have 1 and 2.

2 - If I enter the Send/Suspend screen and then try to close it (The red X) instead of bringing me to the Main Control panel, it brings me back to the last sale I had on the screen (open or closed.) I thought that might be a setting, but I cannot see what that might be.

Are default customer terms something I can edit in the system? Or, alternatively, if I export the customer file and edit the fields that way, will I lose anything when I import the file back?

I read in another thread that it is possible to combine customer records, such as duplicates. I cannot find that functionality anywhere. Is that something that has been removed, or not available in our version?

Is it possible to merge two products together to preserve sales history? I have a few products that have been entered more than once that have identical UPC codes. I would like to preserve history and sales but combine the two items to one for sales entry.

Is there a code or something that can be sent to a label printer to make it print on 2-up labels. We have a Dymo printer that is capable of it and we got some 2-up labels by mistake. I'd hate to have to waste half of the roll, and I could not figure out a way to do it in the printer driver settings.
