thanks Ron.....we are using Mercury (your recommended provider at the time) and have been happy with them to date. Was just curious if others are making the upgrade and what type of swipe/readers they are using.

Hello all fellow ezpower users,

For all the people who have integrated credit card processing within the ezpower software, have you upgraded your swipe terminals to accept the new chip cards that are out. Was curious what hardware you used and if you encountered any issues in installing and using it.

Thank you!

Hi Ron,

Are there any sales limitations like there is for inventory items. We currently have 155,000 sales in our system and was wondering if there could be any potential problems with that amount of sales. I remember you stating that there was an internal limit of 65,000 inventory items and was thinking if there may be a limitation like this on sales. Thank you!

Thanks Ron! I downloaded the version you sent me. Is there a place where i would see this "limit test" or is it something in the software that will warn me when im close to my inventory limit?

I was in the product edit window adding one inventory file at a time. I was entering about a list of 80 items as i normally do......than the last of couple of items were taking awhile to save.....and than the very last item the computer stopped responding and said the program encountered a problem and closed.....as well as the server and all other cash registers.

Ron,

You are right...that 65,000 limit is just about where we were. Yes, it did stop the program from working. I was entering product from a cash register computer and the program just froze and than closed. I went to the other registers and they closed too! I went to the server and that program was closed too. When we tried to open ezpower it would freeze right at the point when it was loading products and than the program would close. It became catastrophic as we couldnt even get into ezpower! There was no warning as to impending inventory limit. We were able to get the program open by using some back up folders and copy and pasting. Once open, we began removing non essential inventory items to get us farther away from the limit. If in the future we can have you reprogram that, please let us know. Otherwise, things are humming along with minimal glitches. Thank you!

ron,

Currently we have approx 60,000 inventory items. I guess the last few items we entered caused EZPOWER to stop working and we had to roll back to a previous backup to get it working. Is there any way we can increase the number of inventory items???? Is there a way we can have you make this change?

I also agree! This software has been working great for almost 2 years now for us. It has unlimited potential and when you need some minor modifications, Ron usually can make it happen. I would like to see it to be continually upgraded and improved and have the option to pay for global updates so it just keeps getting better!!

Ron, Have you been getting my emails.....i have not received a reply.

« on: October 15, 2012, 06:27:46 AM »
Ron,

We have tried that. We than select the multiple invoices and enter the amount. So far..so good.....but when you go to process the credit card we get an error message saying that there must be an invoice number assigned to the payment. It works fine when you select one invoice at a time...process the payment....go back select anothyer invoice.....process the payment...etc. It simply wont let us do an aggregate amount. More and more people are wantng to pay off balances with credit cards and this is presenting a problem.

Hi Ron,

We have version 13.411 and using Mercury payment systems as our processor. There are many times when our net 30 customers want to pay their balance with a credit card. As it stands now, the software will not let us process one payment for all the invoices...we have to process each invoice separately, which can be quite a pain when the ustomer has many invoices. Do you know of a way where we can just process the total amount due?

Hi Bob,

We currently are using Mercury Payment Solutions which integrates seemlessly with EZPower. Did you previously use MPS and switch to ChargeitPro? Does your ChargeitPro application work within the EZpower software?

Thanks Ron. I do understand what your saying and it works beautifully when in the sales screen and you want to email just the invoice. Put it on the wish list! Thanks for everything.

yes, i do know that. I know we can simply type in an email address when we look at each individual customer balance report. But wouldnt it be nice if you looked up XYZ customer balance and wanted to email them their balance due and it would automatically get XYZ email address that was set up in their customer profile. It is very cumbersome to have to look up XYZ customer balance, than go to XYZ customer profile, copy the customers email, than paste it in the email area of the report form, than hit send. With 100's of accounts this doesnt become realistic. You should simply be able to look up a customers balance report and hit email and have the system insert their email automatically.

Ron, when emailing an individual invoice, you will be in the sales screen, and than go to tools, and select email this invoice. That part works fine and will use the email that is on file for that net 30 account invoice. The problem comes when you are in the reports screen, and select customer balance, along the bottom it gives options to COPY, PRINT, EMAIL, etc. When selecting email it DOES NOT use the email address on file for that account that we are looking up the customer balance. It simply uses the last email address the software has used.
