Title: Loyalty Points Settings on Control Manager
Post by: Mark Cumming on November 07, 2017, 07:50:21 PM
Setting up new rewards system, with Loyalty points based on total sales value.
Within the settings for points with total sales, where 1 point = $1 the setting is 0.00  can i have a setting at 0.02 to give the value of 1 point = $50 spent to be redeemed at 6 points for $300 spent ie 10% of the sale the points are Moive points so 2 tickets on $300 spend 6 points.
My system v14 does not want to work at the value of 0.02 setting.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark

I'm not sure I follow but here are the formulas:

Store Credit = Customer Points X Conversion#
$2.00 = 10  X 0.20

Or,

Customer Points = Sales Total * Conversion#
2 = $100.00 * 0.02

Hi Ronald,
So if i understand correct 1 point = $50 * 0.02
With total sales value is there a way to set the redeem Point value?
What other conditions must the program meet, ie nil points on products / nil current points in member account/ customer name must be used
Is there any thing that iam missing?
Thanks ,
Mark

Each product has a Redeem Points field.  Open the Product Edit window to set it.
Settings / General, "Offer To Redeem Points".

How can i use redeem points if the points are based on total sale value? And not per product. If the redeem point value is set at say $300 in total sales, to reddem as a vochure to use for moive tickets not free product or cash.
Thanks , Mark

You can earn Points or Store Credit.  Option 2 gives you points based on the sales Total.  The points can be used to get free products.  The free product can be a vochure (Coupon).

Hi Ronald,
Thanks for your advise, i now have the system giving me the correct points on the total sale value.
How can i make it prompt me to redeem points for a coupon, then reset to zero points after a coupon print out.
As the products don't have points set or a redeem point set on the products.
So how can i make the system prompt to redeem a coupon at 6 points on sales total spent set at $300/6 points ?
Thanks,
Mark

In the Settings / General use the "Offer to Redeem Points".  There is no connection to the Coupon function in ezPower to the point system.  In ezPower a coupon is a product that gives a discount.

It will offer to redeem points automatically when there is enough points to redeem something in the sale.

To convert 1 point to $1 use the conversion of 1.

1 x 1 = 1

???

Hi,
i have set the conversion rate to 1 for 1 pt = $1 , however for some reason i get 600pts.
What setting should i use for customer type?
or can it be something else? It offers to redeem points now that i set the points value to the $ sale price and the redeem rate to 300, but gives me 600 points
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Ronald,
I now have a working format for the movie points rewards, its abit of a long way around but now works. Fixed the problem, of the double points issues.
Is the Remote cloud service availible for Australia?
Thanks for your help and patience.

Hi Ronald,
With the  total sales points ; is their a way for a prompt on point redeem total, without being tried to products redeem values so i can select only the voucher/ coupon for redeeming.
At the moment the only product that i have set a redeem value for  is the coupon for movie tickets. Its set at 150 points . Is there a way for a popup window that askes if the customer wants to redeem points once they have reached the set value without being tied to any set product?
Thanks, Mark

Title: Apply Customer Loyalty Points to perhaps a general discount or coupon?
Post by: Courtright on January 20, 2021, 07:41:35 PM
Hello Ronald,

We're trying to  implement the built-in loyalty system.  With having thousands of products now we can't go back and add points to each product so we are trying to figure out a way to apply the points to an overall discount to the sale.  For instance 100 points will get you $20 OFF to apply to the entire sale.  I've tried actually creating a Product to "sell" or "coupon" etc but can't get anything to work.  Also the issue I found is when I did get something to "kinda work" this way, let's say "$20 OFF" Product, a shady employee could manually just select this product or coupon multiple times until not only was the product free but now they were getting money back as well.  A $20 product sale ... use the "-$20 Product" once and the total gets to zero ... hit it again and you can get $20 back in a return, another time = $40 return and so on plus the free product. Any solutions you can come up with? bc going back to edit thousands of products doesn't really work for us.

Plus Managers only have access to "Quick Add" for creating new products in the future when new inventory arrives not in the POS Database (no loyalty points options in Quick Add).  Am I right in my thinking that a Manager can only access "Quick Add" and not the FULL "New Product Button" with all the features and options without basically having access to Product Control?  I love the features allowed with adding a New Product however I can't allow managers checking in new inventory that doesn't exist in the POS the ability to access Product Control.  We now have $900,000+ of inventory on hand so I really have to protect it now.

Thanks for any input!
Dustin

Read the help section "Points, Redeem".  They are not connected to coupons.
