Title: Any other way besides WebGen to use POS inventory in a website?
Post by: Courtright on April 19, 2014, 05:40:12 PM
I love the fact that the WebGen would track live inventory counts however I am sure you are aware that as far as looks go it feels quite basic and outdated.  If I have my own website is there any other way besides the WebGen to ever tie the POS inventory to a custom made website?

Thanks

I see a site that I am using will allow you to import products via a .csv file.  I know that won't have anything to do with LIVE inventory but as far as getting all my inventory into the site is it possible to export my POS inventory in a .csv file?  Thanks for help with this too.

The Product Export functions save the inventory as a tab separated file.  If the website won't accept that format you can open the file with something like Excel and save it as a comma separated format.

That would allow me to upload all inventory to the website however besides the built in WebGen there isn't any other way for live inventory status on the website though is there?  So as the POS sells one it removes it from the website if there was just a stock of 1.

Correct.  It will not be live.
