This window has been updated.  There are 2 special search buttons now.
1 - Deep Search will ask for a Item# or UPC and search for all changes in that item.

2 - Date Search will ask for a Item# or Description and search only that day (click on a date first) for any matches.  For example, if you enter hammer it will show all changes to anything with hammer in the description.

3 - Export will save a text file of the report which can be used in Excel.

4 - Print for printing a copy of the report.

For a fixed amount discount on the whole sale create a new Coupon item:
Coupons are special products, which are entered into the sales list with the other products being purchased.  You can create coupon products in the Product Control window.  Create a product like normal but select the Coupon or Coupon% option instead of Sell.  Enter a number in the Price field.  The value in the Price field will be deducted from the total sale before taxes.  The Coupon% option can also be selected to give percent discounts.

This report will show everything that has happened to that Item#.
The Search button does a search by the date.  Just click on a Item# to search all dates.

Try using the Trace function.  Open the Report window.  It's Inventory / History & Trace.  Click on any date and then click on the item#.  This function can take mintues to finish.  Don't do it during busy times.  Being able to find an PO item directly is a good idea.  I'll add that to the request list.

Yes, you need to update your program first.  Press the Address button and paste it into a browser.  You need to install the software on your home/head office to view reports.  Or, use 'that' address to view the reports from a browser on your phone/tablet.

You can track your pours now with version 14 and BarVision and others that support the S3 file format.
Just run the z-out with the option “Details”.  Print the z-out.  The file will be created as S3.txt.  It’s a tab delimited text file.  To find the file, close the sales window.  Click on Help.  Click on Database.  This is where it will always be created as S3.txt.

You can download a free full working demo of version 14.  I think it's very much worth upgrading for only $79.99.  It's really loaded with added reports and features.

ezPower / Entire Sale Discount or Credit
« on: October 25, 2019, 12:41:38 PM »
Entire Sale Discount or Credit:
There are 3 different Discounts/Credits that apply to the entire sale in the Arrange Functions Buttons window.
Sale Discount: will prompt the cashier to enter the percentage Discount or Charge.

Discount 1 and Discount 2 which you predefine.  Enter a 2.00 for a 2% discount.  Or, enter -2.00 for a 2% credit.  In the sales window the description of Discount or Credit will indicate which will be applied.

For a 100% Free Discount use the Free button.  To exempt taxes use the Option button to select which taxes to exempt.  Or, add the  the Tax-exempt button to the sales screen.

ezPower / Inventory Adjust - it's very useful!
« on: October 16, 2019, 11:08:43 AM »
You should be using the Inventory Adjust window.  It's flexible and powerful.
Inventory can be added, transfered, Lost or Updated.  Inventory Adjust is in the sales window under the Product menu.  Or, you can add a function button to the sales screen.

ezPower / Re: Setting up a GMAIL Account
« on: October 16, 2019, 09:29:38 AM »
A customer sent this information they used to setup their gmail account.

I found this link about setting up a special login password for app. Once I set it up and generated an unique password - put that into the POS with the settings you gave me - it all worked.

Sign in using App Passwords:
An App Password is a 16-digit passcode that gives a non-Google app or device permission to access your Google Account. App Passwords can only be used with accounts that have 2-Step Verification turned on.

When to use App Passwords:
To help keep your account secure, use "Sign in with Google" to connect apps to your Google Account. If the app you’re using doesn’t offer this option, you can use App Passwords to connect to your Google Account.

Create & use App Passwords:
Note: If you use 2-Step-Verification and are seeing a "password incorrect" error when trying to access your Google Account, an App Password may solve the problem.
1. Go to your Google Account .
2. On the left navigation panel, choose Security.
3. On the "Signing in to Google" panel, choose App Passwords. If you don’t see this option:
2-Step Verification is not set up for your account.
2-Step Verification is set up for security keys only.
Your account is through work, school, or other organization.
You’ve turned on Advanced Protection for your account.
4. At the bottom, choose Select app and choose the app you’re using.
5. Choose Select device and choose the device you’re using.
6. Choose Generate.
7. Follow the instructions to enter the App Password. The App Password is the 16-character code in the yellow bar on your device.
8. Choose Done.
Most of the time, you’ll only have to enter an App Password once per app or device, so don’t worry about memorizing it.

I don't see any problem with sample customer databases we have.  The pie chart should reflect the numbers and percentages in the report.
I've attached a image of the report.

ezPower / Re: Dsicounts based on category sales.
« on: September 08, 2019, 05:07:40 AM »
Yes, that is correct.
The other way would be to use the points to redeem for a free item.  That would allow you to select what earned points and what the points could be used for.

For example:
Points are earned by purchasing Cigars.
But Points are only redeemed for free items on Booze.

That's not what you want but an option.

The closest you can get is giving them $1 in store credit for every $10 they buy in booze.  But the store credit could be used for anything.

The limit is 65,000.
We have had some reports of this problem.  The latest update should fix it.  I sent you an email with the link to the update using your email on file here.  Let me know how it works.
