Title: Network version question
Post by: rjsmeyer on April 09, 2013, 05:28:55 PM
I'm using v 13.514 of ezPower - Network (I've had it for a while, but just started using it this past month when we added a 2nd register).

Everything seems to work fine - as long as Register #2 is connected to the network.  It seems to disconnect a few times during the day, though - and, of course, causes some problems then.

I know how to tell on the server whether there's a problem with the connection - but it would probably be most helpful to be able to tell on the second terminal - before a transaction that ends up being a problem is entered.

Also, is there a way to permanently enter the network path on that second terminal so I might not have to go through all the steps each time I want to re-connect them?

Thanks!

The path to the server is saved and is used each time.  Does you network use static IPs?  I've only heard of this one time in 13 years and their IP was changing.  Try mapping the servers drive.
