ezPower / Opening Cash Drawer without a Printer?
« on: May 22, 2015, 03:15:30 PM »
We don't need any printers on our Yacht Club POS system, so we have a Cashdrawer triggering module on comm1 that works nicely by sending a echo UUUUU >> com1 via a batch file and activated via Setup/Payment Methods.

Is there a way to get this batch file to trigger with the Open Drawer command or F11? I considered adding a string onto the F11 keyboard key with AutoHotkey might work, but I thought I would come to the Guru first as you probably have a neater solution!

Many thanks

Ah Ha!

I had been trying to arrange from left to right across the rows, instead of each column top to bottom. Works perfectly!

Sorry to be late responding - I had to go sailing around Shark Bay for 5 days ;-)

ezPower / Tools / Arrange Product Buttons Problems - Ver 14
« on: May 16, 2015, 02:32:41 AM »
I have been trying to arrange my Product Buttons, but the order I want keeps on being rearranged when I try and shift the next button. I can't find any logic to it, but it very frustrating when the buttons keep jumping around.

I have tried clicking on the button I want moved, then clicking were I want it to be. I have also tried the reverse - clicking where I want it to be, then clicking the button. Both methods frequently rearrange buttons I have already positioned.

The first selected button appears to go where I want, but the replaced button can fly almost anywhere to move something I have already placed carefully!

ezPower / Setting up a GMAIL Account
« on: May 09, 2015, 09:45:14 PM »
After some battles in getting email to send from the POS Software with Gmail, I have discovered two important points.

  • The port to use is 587 (NOT 465)
  • It is VITAL to go into the GMail account Settings/Account and Import/Change Account Settings/Other Account Settings/Signing In/Access for less secure apps and set it to TURN ON

Otherwise the POS Software will not be able to access your GMail account to send emails remotely. I have double authentication on my personal GMail account, so I created a GMail account just for the POS System.

I hope this is of help to others users!
