Version 13 was made PCI compliant, added some reports and few more features.  It's not a huge difference.  You can transfer your sales, products, employees... Everything except the settings must be redone.

Hello,
My Name is joe and I am wondering how to transfer data from a previouse version to a newly installed version.  I have a lot fo info programmed under version 10 and woudl like to know the steps on how to transfer the sales data/menu to the EZ pro 13 I have installed on my new POS system.

From version 10 open the Products / Product Control window and use the File / Product Export. From v13 use the File / Product Import.  This can also be done for the customers in the Customer Control window.  The sales information will have to stay in v10.

Could you confirm the upgrade procedure from V12 to V13. I'm confused by the statement:

"You can transfer your sales, products, employees... Everything except the settings must be redone."

Can I transfer everything from V12 except the settings?
or ... must I redo everything except Settings?

I recall moving from V10 to V12 we lost all of the sales information - as you stated in one of the replies...

From version 12 to 13 everything should transfer except the settings.

Hi Ron,

"Everything SHOULD transfer except settings". Quite honestly, I am wary of the word "SHOULD" in your sentence... I need a guarentee that it does this. Does it transfer all employee info and passwords? Somewhere I read it does not transfer customers?

Try doing it in the Free demo.  Use the Sales Control / File / Sales Export.
