ezPower / Re: bulk and portion adding costs
« on: February 08, 2011, 08:13:25 AM »
My testing worked.  Here is what I did.

1 - create a bulk and portion products.
2 - edit the products to add a 2nd price level (use prices 1 & 2)
3 - start a new sale and add the portion.
4 - select a price level #2 customer and it will prompt you with warning that the prices are being changed to price#2.

The prices changed correctly.  Make sure to put in price #2 for the bulk and portion.  Also, you can change the name of the second price level to anything you want.

No data is lost in updates.  The update only replaces the program.  All the data is stored in separate files.

The only field that must be unique is the Item#.  All the other fields can be the same.

The invoice will print in whatever your printer format size is.  If the invoice has been paid you can't turn it off.

I can only guess.  Check to make sure all the products have item#'s.  And duplicate item#'s will just replace the product.

We have a version 13 update to address the inventory count when using the Edit Sale.  What are your business names?

Use the Tools / Set Avg Cost to Cost in the Product Control window.

I also have to add every time sales editing comes up, I think it's a bad practice.  The best practice is to make fixes/changes in a new sale.  This gives the best accountability and you can easily trace what steps your cashier made.

There is a calculator in the payment window.
The only problem is many business do not allow cash back on checks.

The problem they are reporting is when the Terms payment methods is being used.

The number used for the Total Assets is the Avg Cost field times the Qty field on all the products.  Check those fields.  My guess is one of the Avg Cost is wrong.  The Avg Cost can be set the Cost using the Tools / Set Avg Cost to Cost function.

There is a discount for the entire sale.  You need to put this button on the sales screen.  In the Managers window use the Tools / Arrange Function Buttons.  There are about 80 functions you can pick from.  You want the Discount button which looks like a paper page with a large %.
