Gotcha,  I have never used the PO system because I wasn't sure if I could make it work easy enough for me.  What happens when you order something but items are on back-order and ship separately at different times?  Can that still be handled?

You don't use "Product Adjust" to check in new orders?

I add products via Product Adjust and then print off an Adjust Records Report to verify alongside the packing slips all merchandise was checked in.

So, in the past I had a "glitch" I never reported where if I was in Product Control and left to the sales screen, the next time an employee clicked on a physical button it would open up the Product Edit screen with full ADMIN access to change whatever, even stock and price.  Once that screen was exited and you went to click on another product button in the sales screen it would function as normal and "sell the product"

This was "hit and miss" as to when it would do it but it happened often enough.  Since the updates I don't believe it has happened a single time.

No, just the 1 time per day I've always noticed.  Lately, the newest V14 keeps asking if I want to create a folder that doesn't exist, because it is creating them for the days of the week (WED, THUR, etc.)  is this something new where it is keeping a 7 day separate backup in case you need to go farther back?

Correct, but in the newest V14 download in both the Product Find window and Product Control window it is now missing.  In the older V14 program the "Totals" at the top can be seen in both windows(Product Find, Product Control).

It's as if in the newest V14 version that "Totals" column at the top has been removed from the system altogether.  Perhaps it was an unwanted glitch but I just know we used it almost daily on things so that is why I wanted to comment to see if it was removed by error or glitch or perhaps intentionally.

GOTCHA!  Yup, I see the window now. 

If you have a Category with 1,000 products in it I take it there is no easy way to do this for all is there?

So I have an older V14 on my laptop I mess around with the features on and then my POS has the newest update you just emailed me last week.

in this link, this is the older V14 product window and you can see at the top of the list of the products it says total and lists a total of the combined search for products, for instance a stock of 57 and a total retail price of $6,501:

In the link below, this is the newer V14 from our POS (recent install) and the Totals is now gone.  It was a fantastic feature we used all the time.  Ideas on where it went or why it may have been removed?

Just as a note for the future it would be greatly helpful however to tell the user how to get to the screen where the adjustment needs to be made.  I feel very dumb that I have spent 20 minutes on a system I use everyday for years and I just can't find that screen.  I checked every thing I can.  When I go to MANAGER CONTROL > PRODUCTS > DISCOUNTS it's a different screen, same with Discount Level.  No matter where I look I cannot find that screen you took a screencap of.

in V14 we ABSOLUTELY loved that if you did "Find Product" or "Product Control" and searched for an item that might come in 20 different colors and versions that you could do a broad search for that item, you get all the individual different color options but at the top was an overall tallied stock total of those items.  So if you wanted to know on hand how many "hammers" you had in all, but not worried about red, blue, black, steel, wood, etc option you can at least get an idea of how many hammers in general you have on hand.  We used the heck out of this ... and it's now gone.

Is there reasoning for removing it?  Was it removed by mistake?  It was a FANTASTIC addition in V14!

It appears that in doing a stock correction it is nice that if a product has it's stock changed from 2 to 1 that it shows up on the Shortage Record Report.

However, if product is altered to have stock go from 2 up to 5 let's say there is no tracking of that and perhaps that as well should show up in Adjust records reporting.

An even better option is to have ANY adjustment that is done via Stock Correction to have a separate report for Stock Corrections records.

Here's the reason.  In a retail environment where tracking inventory is critical.  A manager can use this feature for Stock Correction to take a product where the system says we have 1 blue hammer when we have 2 blue hammers on hand, and the system says we have 2 red hammer when in fact we only have 1 red hammer on hand.  SO in the end, the physical stock for ALL hammers is correct, at 3 hammers.  But the skus have been mixed up either during a sale or when tagging the hammers and now we need to fix it so it doesn't skew our reordering.

So a manager fixes it via Stock Correction and then should be able to print 1 piece of paper that shows 1 blue hammer was added to the system and at the same time 1 red hammer was removed from the system.  Every month I review shortage records to see why something was shortaged.  In the case of a correction it would be nice to see something was shortaged but the similar thing was added, so they balance each other out.

Hopefully that makes sense and just perhaps something to consider for future updates.  CHEERS!

I am not looking to do a BOGO Free but use it as intended as BOGO (Buy One Get One) percentage off.  For instance Buy 1 Get 1 at 50% off.

I have...

1) input 50 and gotten zero results

2) put in .5 thinking 50% equates to .5 and gotten zero results.

3) put in "50%" and I get zero results.

No matter everything I try if I then grab 2 items within that Category and try and sell them it does not discount that category.

I can take a video and upload it to YouTube if need be.

So in the Manager Window under Products > Category the BOGO deal was added in V13 and we want to implement it but no matter the value I input for a category it is not changing the price during the sale at all.

I ring up 2 (or more) products within that category and the price stays the same.

What am I missing?

I have a website I am building via Shopify (which is a great platform).  Inventory can be loaded into their inventory system via CSV files however it is not LIVE inventory.  Sell something in your store but it will still say stock of 1 online.  We are considering once the website launches and grows that years from now we may have to have entirely separate stock for online.
